Please let the kids know we are changing the bus #’s for the in town stops this week and we would like to start on Monday am:
bus # 8 at Blackstone and 4th
bus # 14 at Methodist church
bus # 18 at Allen and Sesame street

SCUFF PATROL:  Teachers, either send me the names of kids that want to take part, or send me the kids.  I have "SCUFF BUFFERS" (eraser pad things) hanging in the bag on the door to my office.  (Cool hats have been ordered!!)  Thanks to the 8th grade boys who helped out on Friday - GREAT JOB!!  Mrs. Ermer
STUDENT COUNCIL APPLICATIONS:  Available in Mrs. Haag's room (on counter) or from Mrs. Ermer.  Please fill out application and return to envelope on Mrs. Ermer's door by:  Friday, Sept. 3!  ALL 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are invited to join student council!  You must fill out an application and return it by the deadline!! All who turn in an application - are part of the group!!  We will hold elections for officers the first week in Sept.  (Watch for more details on elections!)  President - must be an 8th grader.   Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer - 7th or 8th graders.  6th graders may be in the body of representatives - may not hold any offices.  Remember that you must have a parent signature on your application!  You are volunteering to be a leader of our middle school!  We will have 7:30AM meetings at least 1 time a month - on Thursdays that you will be required to attend.  I'm looking forward to having another successful year at Garner-Hayfield Middle School!!  Thanks!  Mrs. Ermer
MS CONCESSION STAND WORKERS:  I am opening this up to 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.  A limited number of 5th graders will be accepted - based on teacher recommendations and applications.  If you are interested in working in the Middle School Concession stand during this school year - please pick up an application form from either Mrs. Ermer (in her office), or Mrs. Haag (on her counter).  I am adding 5th graders because so many of our 7th and 8th graders are involved in the MS activities.  Concession stand hours are basically from 3:30-6:30PM or 7:00, when MS events are taking place (football games are held at the HS field - so concession stand workers will work there during FB games).  You can work in the concession stand the seasons you are not out for an activity.  There will be a MANDATORY training session for all those who turn in an acceptable application.  Watch announcements for date of training.  DEADLINE for turning application form:  FRIDAY, SEPT. 3  Turn form into Mrs. Ermer - envelope on door!  Thank you for volunteering to help out our school!
